The agrivoltaic project in Tombebœuf involves installing solar panels over cereal crops, in partnership with a local farming family. Located on farmland where yields have been declining due to drought, the project aims to support more sustainable agriculture.

The installation of agrivoltaic panels addresses these challenges while contributing to the local energy transition. Renner Energies is co-developing the project with the farmers to ensure it fits their farming practices.

The agricultural project

The project is built to deliver real value to both the farm and the surrounding community.

By design, photovoltaic technology supports continued agricultural use, making it a practical fit for active farmland.

A row spacing of 13 meters allows crops to develop properly, complying with the maximum coverage rate of 40% and the threshold of 10% loss of usable agricultural area (UAA).
