Project description
A 29.5 MWp solar power plant is being developed in Bazarnes, in the Yonne department (89), in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, on an area of around 29.2 ha to the south-west of the village. Launched in 2021, the project went through the design and planning application stages between 2021 and 2022. The complete application has been under review since the end of March 2022.
Located on plots of land belonging to 3 cereal farms, on low-potential agricultural land, the project plans to reintroduce sheep farming and fodder production. Everything has been designed to blend in with the farming environment, ensuring the well-being of the animals and coexistence with energy production.
Particular attention is paid to environmental preservation. A 6-metre strip of grass between the power station and the woodland is maintained to protect local habitats. In addition, a landscape hedge will be planted along the northern boundary to protect the view from the road 800 metres away.
Ecological monitoring over 20 years will assess the impact of the project on biodiversity and measure the effectiveness of environmental improvement measures.
