To the east of the commune of Gizay, in the Vienne department, a wind farm is currently being developed.
The project plans to install between 3 and 6 wind turbines, each with a capacity ranging from 5 to 7 MW.
This wind farm could generate enough electricity to power around 20,000 homes (including heating), while cutting CO₂ emissions by nearly 45,600 tonnes per year — the equivalent of 152 million kilometers driven by car.
The goal: to strengthen renewable energy production in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and make a real contribution to the energy transition.
