Building permit submitted for the Poussignac agrivoltaic power plant project
The building permit for this project combining solar energy production and poultry farming was submitted at the beginning of June 2023.
The area under the panels will be made available to a local poultry farmer, giving him an additional 9 hectares of land and thus enabling him to expand his business.
The project will accommodate 12 mobile poultry huts for a total of almost 9,500 animals.
The application is currently being examined by the government and is due to be submitted to the Commission Départementale de Préservation des Espaces Naturels, Agricoles et Forestiers (CDPENAF) in September 2023. A public enquiry is also planned in the near future.
